250es Mudguard

I was just looking at a picture of a bigred on a brochure from 86'. My question is..... The mudguards that run along the side of the fenders and hang about 3 inches of the back under the tailight, are they stock? They also always seem to be missing from bikes that arent in mint condition....do they fall off easy or something? They look cool so I cant imagine anyone taking them off :?

yes , they came stock with those mud flaps on them. i think all the big red series hondas had mud flaps on them. the ones i have bought both have had them in various stages of being torn off.
maire replacement plastics have a slightly extended lip on their fenders and work okay ,,, not as good as original i would think. i like the replacements i put on my 85 bigred anyway.
same is true for the sx modles. i bought a after market set of mud flaps from dennis kirk and wasn't to impressed with them so i sent them back.
