I picked up an 84 250r and ordered a pwk 33mm. What throttle cable do I need to get? I saw one for the 85/86 but haven't found one for the second gen. Some one please point me in the right direction.
Thank you in advance,
Jake.

motion pro makes a cable, its the same cable for 38/39 pwk for 3rd gen. If you want a twist, most year cr125-500 will work.......except those that had mikuni carbs.

Are you sure you ordered a 33 and not a 34? Keihin's are usually even numbers. You might be able to use your stock throttle cable with your new carb. On my 84 I used the stock cable with a 35 mm Mikuni TMX. The issue is length. Sometimes when you change carbs the inner cable is either too long or short--usually too short if you're going bigger. About the Motion Pro cable for the 3rd generation, you might have a problem with the cap. The cable comes with its own carb cap and it may not fit your smaller carb. Call Motion Pro and ask, they are very helpful on cable fitment issues.

It's a pwk 33mm, brand new from Sudco. I finally got the cable out. The sheath was varnished and stuck to the cap. Got the cable hooked up, carb into the intake boot, put a new boot on the air box side and fuel just pours out of the vent lines. Time to take it all back apart. Fun, fun.
