I pulled the headlight guard off of the Big Red to clean it up and paint it. Looks good, by the way.
When I reassembled it I had intermittent power and then none.
I figgered I must have disturbed some wires in the bucket so I re-dissambled it and found the red wire's bullet connector had rotted in two on the male end. As it happened I had some male connectors and replaced it.
All this to say that had I not found it then and it had broken while riding I would probably still be chasing that bugger with a stripped machine and a molested wire loom.
Karma was good to me today.
