View Full Version : Yamaha 225dr 225dx Gurus...2 piece front fender?

I'm in the process of restoring a 1985 225 Dr... The front fender that came with it is two pieces. Every parts schematic that I've seen shows a one piece fender for this trike....any idea why?

That's a 2 partial fenders grafted to make one that fully covers. Not a terrible idea! Good condition front fenders are slim pickins and not cheap.Gotcha...is that OEM or custom? This is the only one I've seen like it..

Yep that's "custom" lol... OEM is always one piece. The dx/r fenders oxidized and break by the louvers quite easily. Someone cut the front damage off one and the rear damage off the other and made a 2 piece solution.Haha nice mystery solved.... they did a good job because it lines up perfectly[emoji106]
