Ok i got a few questions about an outo. 200x with a 185s engine that i picked up yesterday. First of so you think it was worth the $350 i gave for it it runs good and everything it just needs the back brakes. Ok the second question is about the frame in the front right behind the forks it has been modified is this normal for this engine swap. And third does anybody know the easiest way to rig up a rear brake pedal everything else is there except for the pedal. thanks in advance for all your comments

mojave,
I'm working on a 200x frame with a 200s motor and my first question is....where are your front motor mounts? I'm under the impression that the 185 and 200 motors all use the same mounts or at least fit in the cages without mods so you're definitely missing the front mounts. I might be wrong about the no mod part.
Not sure what happened to your frame but if it runs well then 350 looks to be a good deal.
Congrats on the new hybrid,
Jake

Yeah i noticed that i think the guy i bought it from must have tried to put a different motor in the frame or sumthin.I have another frame do you guys think it would be worth the effort to switch everything over.

I would say you got a good deal. As far as the frame goes it does not need to be modified. I would switch frames since you already have another one and beside that would give you the perfect chance to check and grease all the bearings along with clean it up a little bit more.

i would definitly switch frames, that "modification" looks like it won't last too long.

The frame is broken in that spot most likely from jumping the trike, I know this because I have broken 2 200X frames in the same spot. This was the only week spot in the 200x frame.

I say the frame has been hillbillied to allow the use of a 200M engine. The starter motor will not clear the downtube, so I'll bet someone has hacked the frame to fit around the starter....

It looks to me that they tweaked the frame to make the 185 exhaust work on there, the only things you need for the swap is 200x motor mounts, intake, and exhaust. then you have to rig up a back brake. you can go with a left hand control, like off a polaris snowmoble or you can rig up a footpedal behing the right footpeg.

It was custom made, just a piece of bent flatbar. search past posts there was a guy making them and selling them on ebay.

I built mine for my daughter to ride, she had a 200s but got beat to death riding it, so we dropped the motor into a 200x frame. She loves it!

for a 185 motor on a 200x frame you need the 200x motor mounts for the rear brake
you need the foot brake off the 185 frame you have to drill it out with a 3/4" bit then mount it on the bottom bolt on your right foot peg and use the 200x brake system you will have to make your own linkage[ATTACH]49201
