1983 200X stock axle

I use my 1983 200X for riding desert trails. Some of the trails are very rocky and deep ruts. I have heard the stock rear axle is easy to bend. Do you all think it would be worth it to upgrade to a durablue axle for this type of riding? I welcome all opinions.

If your using stock size 22" tires the factory axle is fine . The durablue is a nice upgrade though .

If you do upgrade, I'd stay with stock width since it seems like some/a lot of your trails are narrow and tight. As long as you're not trying to set any land speed records through the rough stuff, then your stock axle should be fine.

350 for 350, You are correct most trails here are tight and often turn into sections of single track.
It is good to hear the stock axle should be fine for me. I do not ride fast, just touring speed mostly.

I have a 350x and I ride a lot of desert / mountain trails here in so cal that can get narrow sometimes. I have a Tusk axle for a 300ex ( different thread) but it widened me about 9" total. Works a lot better imo. I haven't gotten into a situation where I was worried about being to wide( the bike at least). I kept my stock axle also just in case but I like the width WAY better handling. Just my two cents.

Shawn thanks for the input. Looking at your location your trails are similar to mine I would guess. I will give this some thought.
