Hey guys,
Don't know if you guys have seen this paint but it's used for Mercury engine outdrives and my buddy been using it for six months down in Florida to paint engines and it says it's awesome... but you have to use self etching primer first. As soon as I get my z figured out I'm going to try it. Any bud else tried it?244236

"Phantom Black" is the color Mercury used on their outboards.
I have not used the rattle can version but I did just redo my Hood on my outboard due to a small crack and some other scratches.
Sanded with 120 and used two coats of high build. Blocked out high build with 220 then three coats of Black.
It's a good looking "Black". Black is like white.....there are a lot of different shades.

Ya, if you have to etch it 1st, it's probably a great durable alternative to PJ1, high temp or powder coating (which they no longer offer 'high heat" powder for these days).
