This is my Father's Day present to myself. I spent the day finally working on my project 200es.
A couple years I bough a really beat up trx200 with the intention of modifying another 200es I have laying around. I have a stock driver and one I got to modify. I planned on doing what another member did which was just add a swin arm to the big red frame but I thought it'd be easier to add the 200es front end to the trx so that's the route I finally decided to go.
I also went with a 200m end.
Here is the post with the other 200es for inspiration. this is my goal.

I don't know how it drives yet but sitting on it feels nice compared to my other big red.
Everything in the pictures were from Saturday. I still need to pull the motor, finish up the welds on the lower frame section and prep and paint the frame. the to get it all wired up with the other harness from my parts big red.
Here is the other one that is the other thread that is my inspiration.

A bit more progress today on the project'84 big red 3 wheeler with TRX200 suspension and 200M front end. Thinking about calling this a atc200sx and having custom stickers made. lol.
All wired up. Engine put back in, new break cable for the rear and adjusted, carb and air box on, new throttle cable and installed the racks. Getting a bit closer.
Still need a new battery, new front fender, fuel line/filter, front break cable and install the 200es light/brackets. Oh also need to weld on the fender mounts from the 200es as well so I can get the fenders on this thing. I'm sure there's more but that's where I'm at for now.
Going to run through the wiring with a meter and try to get it started.

It looks good. Hopefully you'll be able to tell us how it rides soon.

I messed with it a bit. Found a bad(wet) inhibitor so I jumped it out, still wasn't getting a ground on the safety circuit so I started checking and found the reverse switch wasn't going to ground. Jumped it out as well and was able to get the starter to work. Head light was working.
Cranked it to check spark and nothing-no spark.its getting closer though. I'll need to do some more work later. It's bed time.

Got the 200es/trx200 project fired up this evening. Used a 200s CDI and had to swap motors because their is something going on in the sub transmission on the first motor I had in it.
Still have a lot to do. Needs to have the carb tuned, check valves, fix the exhaust leak and good clean up/paint, Get everything tucked away and tied up. Fenders will be ready to go on after I weld on the brackets from the big red frame.

First drive this morning! Feels pretty good. I'll try to post a video later today.
Anyone know what the symptoms of a bad shock are? Seems like it's not rebounding much.

Got her driving pretty good now. No video but got the fenders mocked up. The TRX rear is about 4"longer so there is space behind the seat and you can see the longer wheelbase.
Sorry for all the pic(not really)

Rode it down to the closest trails about a mile away. Pretty good terrain for testing. Good hills and roots, some sand and a creek. Handled great off road. On asphalt not so good right now. I need new tires on it. Front was wobbly.
I've ridden these trails 1000 times since I was a kid and with my other 200es. This was so much better! Smooth and pretty balanced. I'm happy and definitely worth the work!
Awesome build, I'd love to get one of these!
