I had planned on putting a Tri Z front end on my 225dx and had even paid a deposit on a front end but he sold it out from under me. Fast forward to last week, I just picked up an 85 200x with freshly rebuilt forks. The 200x sits a little low for me and I was thinking of doing 350x suspension on it and putting the 200x front end on the 225dx. I know it's been done, and the forks are about the same length as the DX but I haven't seen any write up or pictures. How involved would it be and how much of an improvement would it be? I know the X forks are 33mm's and the DX are 30mm's. How do you attach the Yamaha's dash to the X's triple tree? Thank you in advance.
