Is this the cleanest one left or what. $200. Ran out of oil. I had 2 parts bikes years ago. I wish I still had them. I'm hoping it doesn't need a crankshaft.

Ran out of oil? Straight gas? Or transmission oil?

The oil injection is still on it. The tank ran dry.

Throw a piston in that trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro and go. The crank has nothing to do with the injection as long as the tranny had oil. You stole it.

Too bad the PO didn't put a sticker on it that said; "When in doubt use pre-mix!"
The plastic look amazing! Keep it out of the sun.

On a 2 stroke the crankshaft is lubricated by the oil mixed in the gas or in the case of this bike, the oil supplied by the oil injection. A 2 stroke crankshaft does not run in transmission fluid like a 4 stroke.

Haha. I know, right! Yes the plastic is amazing. Its actually dusty, the pictures do not do this thing justice. I used to hate these along with ATC90s and 110s but I've picked up one of each this month! lol.

I think I may have gotten a little misinformation from a Craigslist seller, imagine that! So I pulled the head on this thing and saw no signs of lack of lubrication, scoring Etc. There was one area of heavy rust in the cylinder, the rest looked great. So I put some oil in the cylinder and used a small pry bar in the recoil cage and it broke right free. It appears the engine was locked from rust, not a lack of lubrication. There is oil in the oil tank as well, not a lot though. So I put the head back on and it has some compression but it feels low. I could not get it to fire. I haven't pulled the cylinder but at this point I'm hopeful it will be running very cheaply! The cylinder looks great and the piston is tight. It may not even need to be bored.

I ended up pulling the cylinder last night and found the rings were stuck. But I also found the rod has excessive up and down play. That sucks. Im not sure this is worth doing a crank or rod. Might have to keep an eye out for another one. It's possible I may actually still have an engine. I'll have to look.
