85 big red top end noise?

I was wondering if anybody else has ran into this problem, my big red has a new st piston and has a lot of top end noise I am not sure if it is the piston pin on the connecting rod it had top end failure and has a head from another wheeler. I have 2 of these big reds and they both have a lot of rattling at idol seem to quite down while riding, any suggestions. I don't believe it is the timing chain.

Would have to be timing chain. I feel it would be more of a knock for the pin coming out of the piston
