lo guys here goes when your stripping down old trikes how do u get the rusty bolts and stuff off ? wanna take mine down and get it looking good again but just cant get the bolts off wanna strip it down and get repainted then depending on what money i have afterwards may have a little work done to it

get'em out. Once they are out, if the threads are pulled you can always buy a new bolt, and tap your hole.

If I know im gonna be working on my trikes, I try to spray the rustier bolts a day in advance with WD40 or something better. Makes for easy working the next day.

And once the bolts are all cleaned up I spray them again with the same stuff to help them go in easy.

how about replacement bolts what do u do about them ? do you send them off for fabrication ? and get another set done ?

You can buy some bolts at your local hardware store ( At least we can in the US ). You can also buy them from Honda. For cheaper ways check Ebay or buy them from some users here on the site.

Use penetrating oil to get out the bolts. You can buy this at any local hardware store or automotive store. When you are putting the bolts back in, use 3 in 1 oil and they will go in very easy.
