Ok fellas. My latest project is this 1982 ATC 70. Ive got just about everything to finish it, but still need a few things, and some free time!!!! Anyway. This was a really complete, albeit ugly spraybombed mess when I got it. Trying to take it back closer to its original glory, with a few upgrades. Where Im at now is with the handlebars and controls. The stock bars were pretty badly pitted and although this isnt a perfect restoration, they were a little too far gone for me. So i had a spare set of Renthals that i cleaned up and threw on. Gonna trim them down to stock length, the bend is pretty close to stock. My problem is, the OEM'S have the built in brake lever. So will any basic lever work with the stock cable? Also, the thumb throttle housing/kill switch is shot. Cant find any non-pitted stufff on ebay so was thinking of just getting a new replacement. Anyone know of one that will work with stock throttle cable? Will i also need to figure out a new cable? For the kill switch im just gonna mount an aftermarket on off switch on the bars. Anyways, thanks in advance. Heres a few pics of the ugly green spray bomb disaster, and where im at now
