View Full Version : Still no tri z headlights

So I finally finished the wiring on my z. New harness from ps2fixer, good guy helped me a lot. Got a proper z headlight switch temp light everything hooked bulbs look good. The taillight works but no headlights what should I check?

Make sure your bulb contacts are clean. Sometimes you need to wigle the bulb back n fourth a little, do this while its running.
Both of my tri zs headlights had trouble turning on at some point. Ive seen guys spray a little wd40 on the socket before installing the bulb.

VOLTAGE right off the bat, Then worry about your connections and such.
IDK how the Z regulates lights voltage. Someone will pop in...
Did those things have service manuals?? I imagine THAT would be the easiest way to troubleshoot.

Went ahead and cleaned the headlight sockets got one light to work the other socket the ground was broke off

Now you know the problem; GREAT!!
I still wonder what regulates those; I'll have to ask Raffa!!

There's a little regulator box on the side of the frame. I have to re do that whole light socket all the wires fell off
