Name
2.5 Liter Ultrasonic Cleaner
Brand
Central Machinery®
Wattage (watts)

Thanks for any advice, tips, tricks, do's/don't etc.. :)

i use this stuff. I did a lot of research when looking for a good cleaner that wont etch aluminum. this is made for ultra sonic cleaning. doesn't hurt aluminum. ive done maybe 6 or 7 carbs with this stuff. and they come out spot less. Im using the same harbor freight u.s cleaner. its awesome. just turn the heat on maybe 10 minutes before use, that way itll be nice and hot when you goto use it. the part will come out nice, clean, and hot. which will evaporate very quickly. I put in about 2 liters of water, then maybe 1/4 cup of cleaner. the water will be a very very light purple. but it does its job. obviously you can mix differently for different results

I use the stuff from the auto parts store that comes in a big can with a basket, I think its called gunk. Its not ultrasonic, but it works real well. You could probably use it a an ultrasonic cleaner.
I like the idea of a ultrasonic machine though. I've taken a few of my FCR carbs from my more modern bikes to the shop to put them in their sonic tanks. Sometimes on the FCR's that's the only way to get them cleaned out.

Yamaha carb dip. I use it in my ultrasonic and carbs come out looking new.

I use L A's Totally Awesome at full strength. After blowing out with air when done, I then coat entire part in WD-40, as I have found the L A's totally Awesome is corrosive to some aluminum parts.

I have cleaned more trike parts in my ultrasonics than I care to remember.
We used to use WD40, works amazing......but that tends to get expensive.
Simple Green is great too. I have used it for years on various applications.
In the past couple years I have gone almost exclusively to a product called LA's Totally Awesome.
I buy it in spray bottles for a buck at the dollar store. You can also buy it buy the gallon for about $4 at KMart.
I just checked Amazon and it is $10 a gallon there.
Anyway, it is cheap, environmentally friendly, you could probably drink it, and it works awesome.... literally.
Full disclosure, I also spray it on my trike's engine, plastics, tanks, bars, controls, chain, sprockets...........everything.....
... wait 10 minutes, hose it off and never have to touch my trike with a rag. The stuff just eats dirt. Try it sometime.

Never noticed that, then again, I have been known to coat my entire trike in WD40 after I clean it.

Well that was fun. I guess I should sell my stock in AutoZone carb cleaner. Lol. I'll never go back to the old way. The purple worked freaking awesome. Smelled gross haha. Gonna slap it on now and see how she runs. Thanks for the help y'all. 😁
