Simple 400EX Carb Question (w/pic!)

I'll check mine when I get home tonight, but based on seeing that indexing pin next to the hole, it seems like it is a location to mount a bracket of some sort. Parts diagrams on-line don't even show the hole there, but I may have looked up the wrong year. Can you post the carb part number, or specific year of 400EX (not sure that it makes a difference...)

Didn't come with a part number, just listed as an '05-'13.

Looks like a place for a mount to route a hose.

It's NOT a knockoff, genuine Honda 400EX carb, just got it off of eBay. You're hurting my delicate sensibilities!

It's funny, the look EXACTLY the same as OEM; And some guys have no problems with them and others hate them.

I tried one for my ATC70 one time, said "Keihin" on it, ended up sending it back and cleaning my stockie in carb dip for awhile and it started right up...

I've got a knock-off carb from e-bay that has the exact Keihin logo cast into the body and everything... it didn't work for me.

To continue the hijack: you can get a genuine factory 400EX carb from one of the on-line Honda parts dealers for a pretty good price. I ordered mine from a place that has a local brick and mortar store to go with the internet site for $126.16 . Factory box, sealed, minty fresh.

This was/is the real deal, got it for about half that price with a cosmetic blemish that was easily fixable. New in Honda box, etc. Still hasn't had gas in it...

Well I'll be damned... I just checked my 400EX carb, and I've got the same feature! No clue what it's for...
