I just picked up a 1984 klt200C with the leading link from suspension. The guy said it jumped time but I haven't looked at it yet. Pretty cool I think as I've gotten away from the run of the mill Hondas I'm used to seeing. This thing has a manual clutch with a 5 speed transmission and a locking differential to be able to make tighter turns. Its probably not very fast but its cool none the less. I even got the certificate of origin from the guy.

Upon closer inspection it looks like the the floorboards behind the pegs are an add on accessory since I haven't seen any on any other klt200. Hopefully it won't take much to get back up and going.

I've got an 83. It out runs the Honda 85 200m no problem. I've topped it at 45mph. These are based on the Kawasaki Z200 motorcycle. You may want to change that differential oil, who knows how long that's been in there. The differential in the back is nice for yard work, it doesn't tear up the lawn when you turn. When you tilt it on 2 wheels and it's unlocked, the wheel in the air gets all the power. With it's low gear, I've been able to pull everything I've hooked on to it.

I do own a full shop manual. If you need any info, feel free to hit me up. I've posted some pages a while back regarding the electrical and what not from it.

This 83 was my first trike :-D I need to restore it.

So I messed with the klt a little bit and got it to start. Found out that it isn't charging so I ordered a stator and a service manual so help with other routine maintenance that needs done. I have a short list of parts needed to make it complete and a list of possible changes to make it more suited to what I want to do with it. But all that will have to wait until I get back from my military mission. This klt seems to be a solid 3 wheeler. I can't wait to come back and actually ride it.

I don't think that any of the klt200's had front suspension. I think that only the klt250's did. Could be wrong though.

Only the 83-84 klt200C had front suspension from what I've seen.

I've got a nice shiney NOS NIB chrome speedometer for these KLT's, if you ever wanted one....:naughty:
