OK guys. I need some help here. I was able to get my headlights working on my 200x build. I am not getting power to my switch. I push the button, and nothing. I am able to turn over the engine by jumping the solenoid. I put a new square style inline automotive fuse. I blew another fuse. I did hook up the ground to the frame. I have read some things about a neutral safety switch. What am I missing? Thanks for any help.

If I remember correctly the brake had a safety switch to prevent staring unless brakes were applied and I think the starter was actually completing a ground circuit. I have a couple Chinese quads hanging around I will try to double check for you but might be a day or two

My cheapo quad is like this too. Has 2 wires going the the rear brake on the handle bars. No brake ,no start.

Cool beans. I'll check it out. Hopefully I can bypass that, so I can roll start if I get in a jiffy.

Ok. I got power to my switch now. Had to plug two wires together. Now no spark to the spark plug. Toasted the cdi doing some testing. and need to order a new one. Dam.

New cdi showed up. I had a similar problem as this guy did. Swap the wire colors around in the plug to match the same wire colors in the appropriate slots in the plugs the go to each other. On one plug all the wires that were suppose to be on the top were on the bottom. Switched them around, now I have spark. Here is a link to the video.https://youtu.be/yTdrL3cYN94
