Picked up this one owner 1983 Honda atc185s last weekend - 2 hour drive each way. Couldn't pass it up. Super clean. 100% original - plastics, seat and tires. Original owner's manual and tools. Original bill of sale, too. Picture is from the owner's sales ad. The '83 200s in the back ground was sold last month. They were purchased together brand new. I would have bought that one also. Too bad they got split up after 34 years. I do know where the 200 was sold to - half hour drive from me. Can't wait to clean and detail the 185s. Runs and handles very nice. Starts first pull. Inside of gas tank - virgin clean - galvanizing inside is perfect. I am surprised how quick and nimble it is. Slowly becoming my favorite of the bunch. First thing to remove is the faded Honda sticker on the front fender - LOL

That is a rare find in that condition. If I found something like that, I would have to change my username to luckydog. Nice to know that it went to a good home.

Thank - you, tripledog. I only hope the 200s went to a good home also. It sold for $900. I may have to track it down - although my wife would kill me if I bring another trike home.

Enjoy the weekend.

Nice score. Looks super clean. It was well worth the 2 hour drive.

That model and year was the first brand new anything we had as kids our first anything with a motor. Two of us boys wore it out in 4 years. Rode it almost everyday for 4 years and we changed the oil like we should. It must have ran 150 miles or more per tank.
The motor was going to cost us like $1000 to have honda renew the top end and some stuff. I think the price dad paid for it at the dealer was $1299. There had also become some real problems with the chain adjusting and the chain cover.
The honda shop took it down and we didn't want to fix it back then, girls and cars were the only thing going, so we gave it to some people who asked about it and knew more about wrenching. It was in boxes. It may be alive today, who knows.
Your picture just brought back so many memories of the mid eighties i had to share. The 185s would run pretty much with the 200m a friend had but the 200m had more mudhole power for sure.
Great machine. Looks very new.
