well i got this gas shock from the junkyard for ten bucks.man they have at least 200 old dirtbikes and motorcycles to get parts from.on this im going to use a 200 x back plastic and gas tank.im making it what it should have been.its like i tell everyone if it broke make it better.

that's awsome. i have have been working on a similar thing with a rear suspension frame. but i didn't make the frame. will the 200x plastics bolt right on? i have 185 plastics but i need a seat so would i be able to use a 200x seat? keep up the good work, yours looks way better than mine.
and are those the stock forks? they look really tall. what are you using. i'll show you pics of mine if you'd like. i like seeing 185/200 bikes with rear suspension.

i dont know if they will bolt on if they dont i will make them fit.and the seat well im gong to use the gas tank seat and fender off a 200x.if i were you i would just buy a seat cover off ebay.the forks i took them apart and welded 2 bolts together head to head.screw on the bolt to the shock and then slide the shaft and put a nut on the bottom of the shock and that keeps the forks from coming off.i would like to see some pictures of yours to.

well i got mine just this past fall. i came across it from somebody on 3wheeler.org. i actually have a 200s and it's a 185 frame so that is why fenders and seat are my problems because a 200s was my donor bike. i used my 200s engine, axle, bearing carrier, fork, ect. basically everything.
here's the frame as i got it.

this is the swingarm. i didn't have to make it. it uses the same bolt holes as stock to use the stock rear end.

this is pretty much how it looks now. i adapted some US90 fenders temporarily until i can properly put the 185 fenders on.

what exhaust are you going to be using? i am using the stock headpipe with the silencer from an '83 Honda XL200R. it works ok but i had to make a crappy patch where they come together. i am guessing you will be using 200x exhaust? if it works that is what i will use for a better fit.
yours looks really good. i just built mine to ride and not look at really, hahaha! i used spray primer and paint and it's ok but it's got a few chips already.i can't wait to see your finished. i give you a lot of credit for all doing it all yourself.

... It looks like youve got a great resto/conversion going on there. I do have a question, it looks like from the picture that the top shock mount will interfere with the seatpan/rear fenders?.

for the seat and fender to fit i had to cut a square pice out of the fender and the shock sits barely under the seat

Did you make your swing-arm or is it off of a dirtbike? what did u have to do to the frame to mount the swingarm?

i made the swingarm out off som square tubing from an old desk.then i cut 2 pieces off metal and drilled a hole in them and welded them to the back off the frame
