So I just picked this up. I am a Honda man (see my 250r build pics), but thought what the heck the price is right. Any info on this would be appreciated. I'd like to know how the parts availability Is for a complete restoration and what would the value be?

If you mean restoration in the truest sense you're out of luck when it comes to the plastics, but if you just want to rebuild it and make it look good there are parts to be found. As far as value is concerned it will end up being a labor of love. I doubt that even in the most pristine condition you can imagine that anyone would give you over $1500 for one of those. Just cleaned up and running it might sell for 800 bucks.

I haven't seen any DX's that are black. Usually DR territory. Parts shouldn't be hard to find for that.

I've always liked the black ones better than my blue one. Parts can be a challenge sometimes. Other Yamaha models have some interchangable parts. Think Timberwolf.
