Heres a few stock 86 swing arms, and a +6 1st gen t3. You can use the 1st gen t3 swingers on the 86/87 tecates with the 1st gen rocker arm.

Why do you want a longer arm?

Google is your friend.

Yes but the 84 rocker is even different than the 85 one, and since both are different than the 86/87, the ratio will be different if you use the first gen arm and rocker on an 86/87 . In 85 we used a rocker that had a more progressive ratio that I had selected to reduce the harsh bottoming the 84 had and I changed everything for the 86/87 model and that model is nearly impossible to bottom and works noticeably better than both the 84 and 85 . In fact, top PRO rider John Neary raced his 86 TECATE....The Most Powerful 3 Wheeler In The Universe, with box stock suspension, and although he did say that it was a little soft for his 210 weight, it was still rideable in the PRO class . http://www.mustang.org.au/forum/Smileys/smilies/thumbsup.gif . I only weighed 155 when I did all the development testing on it.

86/87 swing arm extended 2 additional inch's on my 84/85 Tecate (which gives 4 inch longer then stock 84/85 swing arm). It has gone thru several color changes over time.

I've been collecting parts over the last few years for a 500cc tecate and have most of the parts. I'm just curious as to some of the ways people have extended their swing arms.

do you need a new one built because www.hreatv.com makes 1st and 2nd gens with options to go to round house carrier off a 400ex.

Here's my old 500, I had a HRE made at the suggestion of old-school and a couple others. I wanted the Honda carrier because the torque of the 500 would pull the right side adjuster back, no matter how tight I had everything. I raced it, on a trail bike you might not have the same problem. This was a +3 and I loved it, the only thing I'd have changed was to ask for brake line clamps on it237776237776

Hey John,

What parts did you use to make that dog bone and did you relocate the mounting point on the swing arm?
