aircooled 250r fork size?

I can get the complete triple t from a early aircooled atc250r here.Guy is parting the wohle thing out.The triples will be cheap,but he wants insane cash for the forks.So i want to use dirt bike forks,no problem.But need the fork diameter of that early 250r,to figure something out.
This would make such a great upgrade for my big red,me thinks.
