Durablue To Make Extended Axles For 2nd Gen Tecate

I talked with Durablue on the phone today and the guy told me they are looking to make extended axles for the 2nd generation Tecate again. It's not a 100% done deal but he is pretty certain it will happen. I also asked about the 1st generation and he said it wouldn't happen. Apparently it has weird splines and they no longer have the tools to make it. I wasn't given a timetable for when the 2nd generation axles would be ready, just an assurance that they are serious about it. I told him I would let the Tecate community know. You might want to call Durablue now and then just to show our interest.

If only we could get billet carriers and a dura-blue 4/110 hub. I think some honda 4 wheeler hubs fit the B1/2 tecate spline ok though.
I would have to get a cost estimate before i committed to buy. I bought a nos dura-blue Eliminator about a year ago and it wasn't cheap, but hey overpaid on rear fenders too, then bought new rear back fenders from Kawasaki for half price. Maybe the axles will be more in line price wise, to the ones available for four wheelers today.

Lonestar made plus 4" axles not long ago for the 1st and 2nd gen Tecates. Their axles were made with a few different splines for more hub options.

Durablue is will to making any axle if you can show him (Gary) that there are people willing to buy them. I sold 8 of his 200x axles in 3 hours the other day, now by the first of the year he is making another 20, but you have to show him you will buy them, so I would get at least 10 pre paid orders to him to show there is a market for them.

Yeah Mickey, he mentioned the axles you bought and I told him they sold out quickly. It sounds like they are planning on making the Tecate axles without a group buy. There are so many people doing resto-mod Tecates these days they are probably getting calls and decided to remake them.
