I've been thinking hard about a modern trike conversion. I also have friends with KTM 300 xc's and they love them. Has anyone ever converted a modern KTM two stroke to a trike? I did some looking but didn't see anything on the web.

I haven't seen one. Closest I've seen to a KTM trike would be El Camexican. Try looking up his Tri-z build.

While very nice that is still a Tri-Z.

I've seen pictures of a few KTM based trikes. I don't know what model they were based on though.

It would make a nice piece to have a ktm 2stroke. Regardless I say go for it

I agree. Go for it. What are your thoughts on the parts selection? Swing arm? Rear end? Persuade an axle carrier from something else? adapt a different swinger? Counter/Output shaft to rear chain alignment? Different frame?

FYI - the KTM quad swinger bolts directly into the KTM bike chassis. Thought you might enjoy this tid bit of info.

What size is the KTM motor compared to a 250r?

The KTM 300xc is a 300 two stroke. Interesting about the swinger.
