can someone explain to me how to adjust the rear shock on the 350x. I've turned the dial on the reservoir and the dial on the bottom of the shock but i haven't noticed any difference.

nothing is gonna work on a 30 year old shock. its not gonna have a lick or nitrogen in it. i have had shocks rebuild for me weight for $125 over at my local suspension shops...not a dealer either. They barely know how to put a tire on a rim correct.

The knob on the shock controls rebound - makes it easier or harder to extend the shock.
The knob on the reservoir controls compression -makes it easier or harder to push the shock back in.
The ring under the spring sets spring preload.
Put the right spring on for your weight.
Set the knobs to control the spring.
Where to set these is an art form...
