Front forks frozen

My one trike has a 250r front end on, and when you go to get on it the front end is frozen, it was -25 but the only way i can make the front end suspension work is to park it in my 90 degree barn, any ideas on how to make it not freeze, i know oil doesn;t but i dont think anything else is in the front end

sounds to me like you might have condensation in your forks. have you change your fork oil lately??

that sounds pretty normal to me, my tri-moto forks freeze all the time until it gets up to about -10 or -5. -25 weather will do it, there isnt anything wrong with your oil. i also have a mountain bike with marzocchi bombers on it, and even in temps around 0 they become slow and sluggish with very high compression and slow, crappy rebound. the cold weather also helps my tri-moto from bottoming out, i havent bottomed it out all winter. but ya, there shouldnt be anything wrong with your oil, at -25 that kinda stuff happens. id bet money if i went outside right now, my tri-motos forks would be solid as a rock. hope this helps, peace out, tony.

HAHA, +30 F would be +2 Celsius, and thats good triking weather. we had it down to minus 50C last week which is i dunno how much in F, but its damn cold, and the guys in the oilfield were workin on the oil rigs in that weather! although i never ventured farther than 20 feet from my house and didnt leave my house for more than 5 minutes at a time, lol. but its been around minus 30C this whole week, and its suppossed to hit minus 4 by the weekend (about 28F) so im hopefully gonna get my trike out and finally get to use my new FOX flite helmet :-D :-D :-D but i only got one tank of gas left..... :( man, i never realized how dependable trikes really are. my 1983 yammi tri-moto200E is the most dependable vehicle on my property. well, besides my dads '95 GMC 1500. but its more dependable than my moms '95 ford windstar and our friends '03 fourtrax that is being stored here. our first bit of cold hit the ford hard. took me 2 hours to get that lil biatch started. killed the batt 3 times tryin to crank the sum trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. went out back, took maybe 30 seconds of cranking at half choke to fire the yammi up. the fourtrax...well i killed the batt crankin that thing. just left it there to die. stupid golf carts....anyways i finnally got my moms ford runnin and all. and that was only -25 or 30 weather. so lets hear some more "cold" stories. peace out, tony
