I will admit I am not the most electrically inclined guy. I am trying to get my headlight to work on my 85 250es. I have power at the fuse, but no power at the small connector with the three wires next to the fuses. Is there something down on the left hand side of the bike that would affect that, or would it just be my switch? I have looked at the diagram, and to be honest it might as well be drawn by a 3rd grader for me!

The fuses I see on the schematic are for the auxillary DC output (for an optional worklight)and do not affect the headlight. What position is the headlight switch on the handlebar set to? Set it to L and check for power...check for power again when it is set to H.

I bet you have a bad earth somewhere along the line. Mine was doing the same thing so I pulled theharness and unwrapped it all and found a broken wire. Green is earth.

.
If you don't get it fixed tomorrow and I have some time, I will post step by step how to test the switch to determine if it is possibly bad if no one else does by then.
You can also simply run a jumper wire directly from the battery to the positive in wire to the switch and see if it makes the light work but you need to be certain that the lite is good first.
