i have a 84 250r will a 83 motor work in that frame what is the diffence in these years and what oil ratio sould i mix in the tank

I run 50:1 (injector oil, which is fine) with AMSoil :-D AMSoil was the first in synthetic in the 70's I pay about $6 for a quart (32oz), shipped. Been running it for 2yrs now, with no problems at all.

Yes an 83 motor will work in a 84 frame. Both years were the same,as i recall.

Right now i have a 84 swing arm on my 83 fram not sure whay year the engin is

From what I see on the microfische is that the rear end(shock area) is the only thing that is different to the eye. The engine had a few mods internally and there were a few other things cosmeticly..........peace

i have an 84 and i mix 32 to1. it works great for me

i got a 84' and i run Super M Premix oil at 32:1 works great for me probably the safest mixture i heard. i pay like 20.00 bucks for 64oz bottle and mix 20 oz per 5 gallon for 32:1

Its all preference. I like AMSoil, they were the first company to make synthetic oil in the 70's! Before Mobil 1 and are still around, there doing something right :-D
