Early 60, converted 2wd to 4wd with kingpin front, diesel (bit of a dog 92 7.3 idi) needs the rad installed, sitting in front and springs hung in rear. Runs, driven from Nevada to here. Sitting 2 yrs. Owner passes, dad selling, sad story. Has bed and flat bed too(I would keep the flat bed and sell out bed)
3k
Would register but use as a farm truck as not to beat my restored ford or new dodge.
I really don't need but like the look

Absolutely beautiful. I would have no use for a naturally aspirated diesel but I love the truck. Tell him 2k.

Transmission? Divorced transfer case or?

A diesel isn't a diesel without a turbo.

I would never talk anybody out of buying such a cool old truck

No idea on transfer or tranny. I don't really want to talk him down due to his dead son. They are having a hard time selling due to this. Now they are letting go and offered it to me. I will go look at it next weekend. No turbo is rough but I guess it it a good runner. For a shop truck flatbed, it looks cool. That would make 3 trucks tho, I am now a horder

Nice looking truck! Great patina, awesome front grille, mean stance, and that sweet wrap around rear window. Looks like a pit bull on steroids.
It needs a loving home...

I love that body style. I don't think you'll regret it. One thing about a natural 7.3 is it will literally run indefinitely.

Talk you out of it??? Sorry, can't do it. I'm a Chevy guy, but that's a tough looking old Ford! I like all the old trucks, no matter what name it wears. :beer

2 things you can never have enough of in this life:

1. Trikes

2. Trucks

My cousins has a 1st gen cummins, a LB7 Duramax, and a beater Vortec chevy. I own 2 6.5L chevys, one's a winter truck the other's a Beauty Queen.

If that things got the Ford Highboy divorced TC in it that would be the icing on the fat boy's cake

It's cool as hell. If you have 3K you don't need, a place to put it and the time to finish it it's a no brainer. It'll look great in your shop.

it has a nice platform. if your gonna everyday drive it....nah. if your gonna built it up and spend $20,000 on it then buy a newer one. If your gonna not spend $20,000 on it and do it for the heck of it go for it. I would not buy it. I only buy mopar trucks.

Thx guys
The other son of them is a mechanic.i may pay him to make it road ready minus body as I wants dumping flatbed. May be nice to have around and for the occasional mulch runs etc

Don't worry, dog. It's mulch ado about nothing. I felt the need to compost that.

I'm more into talking into! Cool ranch truck, 7.3 na is slow, but will run till you no longer want it, and you can always turbo it. That shop is going to fill up fast!

NA 7.3's run just fine. Fantastic mileage.. Plenty of power for most tasks. A turbocharger would help the most at elevation. Easy to add on later if you feel the need. I would buy it. It's a cool truck. You could go many directions with it.. DD, work truck, tow rig.. mild wheeler/expedition rig... Stroker BBF mud racer...:) Alot of possibilities.. It would be an easy resale if it doesn't work out..

That's a mean looking truck! If it runs well and you have use for it I'd say go for it. Just make sure you can sell it for whatever you pay…that way if things get too hairy or you change your mind down the road you can unload it and break even. Standard cabs don't work for me anymore now that I have kids...

Took a look today. It is a hell of a project. Time has taken its toll. Rodent hell. I don't think I have the time. I have a long list. U gotta know when to fold em. Gonna table it for now

SOmetimes even tho it's best to pass on a "project", it really tough to do. Ask me how I know......

Yeah Scoots, I got to thinking the other day that if I "trimmed the fat" I could turn about 50 projects into 9 or 10 completions that I could be enjoying right now. What can I say, I have a wild imagination…but now when the Wife yells at me for buying something ridiculous I can blame it on my traumatic brain injury:D:crazy::rolleyes:

Hmm passing on it, too bad. I see a farmer ball in the back and a custum goose neck trailer to carry your crawler around. Ah the shame.......... :-)

Hillary's top advisor Al Gore said trucks emit high amounts of carbon pollution. We should all stay away from them and move toward solar cars.

You mean cars like a Pontiac Sunbird?
