I went with a 10x8 front wheel (3+5 offset) fitted with a 22x7-10 tire. Am I missing something as to why it's not correct? Isn't the stock wheel 8 inches wide with a 3+5 offset as well?

Did you already throw away the other rim?

Seems like the wrong rim if there's no play from left to right or collars to swap from L to R.....

Why not 200x front end?

What exact wheel did you buy, and from where?
Also, if you can post up a side pic.

Let's get some more pics. First thing I'd do is lay both wheels on the flowah and break out the measuring tape.

I still have the original wheels. I've measured the offset in both the new and the old wheels. They're the same. The only difference with this new wheel is the diameter. Which would make zero difference in the fitment laterally.

Seems to me new rim is narrower, which would change the offset needed to center it.

I want to keep a wider front wheel. But, this is really good info, though. Thanks for the link!

The new rim is the same width as the stock rim. Both are 8 inches wide. The difference here is the tire width. The stock tire is 11 inches wide and the new tire is 7 inches wide.

Why not 200x front end?
I looked for 200X and 350X front ends. I found a couple, but I wasn't interested in the condition/price. I'm OK with keeping the SX front end because it's nearly completely new, now.

I measured the new wheel carefully when I pulled it outta the box. It seemed to be an exact fit. But, I was boozin' about 10 mins before I measured it, too.

7 inch wide tire on a 8 inch wide rim...? You going for the euro look?

The wheel width has no effect on tire center, the wheel center flange offset does. Offset wheels are usually assembled using different designed halves welded together and there made for easier tire mounting from one side. Could your offset be simple as where the valve stem is mounted has caused you to mount the wheel 180 degrees backward. May need to relocate valve stem and plug original stem hole. A picture of original wheel might help in solving your problem.

When I replaced all 3 wheels on my ES with ITP wheels, even though they were "labeled" as being the same offset, I required a .200" spacer to center the wheel between the forks...

in my early attempts at improving the sx front, i messed up the offset 180 degrees. i solved the problem with a stubby valve stem on the brake drum side. it worked. it was a pain in the dick, but it worked. I've since come to the realization that honda had it pretty well worked out with the stock 22x11-8 and i rock oem now.

Gotta admit if it were centered, it would look good AF.

I have no idea what I'm doin'. This is my first trike and I'm learning as I go. I'm not really building this with any influence or a certain look in mind. I have no clue if what I'm doing is popular or gonna result in me having a status as a squid. Either way, I'm good wit it!

I like the way it looks. If it handles well, jackpot.

Why not just make some spacers and use the wheel you have. Simple.

Yeah, I thought I may have installed it backwards, but I took it off and flipped it and it was worse. No way it would even go together that way.

I'm with you on this. I have some spacers laying round and I'm gonna try to center it that way. If it works, rock on!
