Picked up a 83 250R in bits, YESS !!

I got an 83 250R today, only thing missing is the airbox and front gaurd, but i got that here anyway. Im stoked, Looks a bit battered, but he assures me it runs [...i know!! :lol::lol: ]

Jerry's Plns, you might know him, does alot of trading / reastoring, young mate had a few [4, i think], they were goin like hotcakes!I got the one in pieces, bout 1/2 the price!

Actually yeah I remember that one being on gumtree a while back. Sounds like you got a good deal. I want to get a 90 next I reckon. How's that 200x coming along?

200X is almost done:lol:, having troubles getting the old bearing cases out of the swingarm, i have derlin bushes to install.
Gotta make a set of tank bolts, get a new kill switch and front brake caliper, figure out the coil wiring [see my post on that saga - http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/180779-Stator-on-my-200X-Not-original-Unknown-Coils ] im overthinkin it!

In near future, i got a new rod and big ends also new gearbox bearings on the way [if partzilla get there trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro together] I have an XR cam and the 250R forks are on. Gettin there, now the R begins!

That's cool mate. Good to hear your getting closer. Nah I haven't ridden since I moved back to Sydney but I am getting an itch for it again. Just don't really fancy paying the extortionate prices for rego to ride a few times a year. The passion is still there though for sure.
