Hi, is it possible to reuse my old ATC friction clutch springs if I put a washer under them as a spacer? Or if I need new springs, what are the best ones to get?

Thanks

Do not shim your stock springs. Worn springs are fatigued. Many things can go awry.

I recommend these EBC springs for $12 http://www.ebay.com/itm/EBC-CSK-Clutch-Springs-fits-Honda-ATC200M-1984-1985-/331916009999?hash=item4d47bc620f:g:KqYAAOSwsTxXkkG f&vxp=mtr

Also,

What's the issue that makes you wanna replace the springs?

Old springs will cause stuff to fail sooner. Not having enough pressure on the clutches and they'll wear faster. Heavy duty springs should increase life, but make clutch work more difficult.

oddly enough, more pressure in an automatic car's transmission increases transmission life, granted the pressure doesn't blow things apart. It makes for a harder shift, and people don't like that.
