Will a 1984 headlight mount up on a 1985-86 tripple tree? and will 84 brakes work with a complete 85-86 front end? and i just want to make sure..will a 85-86 tripple tree mount on a 84 250r frame? thanks

Well I've kind of been watching this post waiting for someone to answer, and I saw nobody replied, so I had to go out in the shop to check. well a 85 triple mounts up just fine to a 84. So I guess now I have to put a 85 frontend on my aircooled. just happen to have a complete setup. crapy thing is, I had already polished up all my 84 stuff to go on. now I have to do the 85 triples. the forks are a inch longer. should'nt make that big of a deal. Goodluck!

Yeah came out real nice, I blasted the frame and took my peanut grinder with a wire wheel and got all the rust and junk off. I used dupli color Metalcast paint. you have to put on a ground coat and then the color. It comes out with that anodized look. It was a lot of work opposed to dropping it off at the powdercoaters, but the 85 R really cut into the aircooleds budget bigtime.

Im using that paint on some of my parts.. It does leave a nice finish for spray paint... Look for my Tri Z updates to see the red metalcast color here in the next couple of weeks.
