Im restoring my '84 200X, going well, though whilst i have the motor apart,i just measured a few things to be sure all was good. All but the cam and clutch plates check out OK

Firstly, the cam lobe hieghts are unusual, measured with verniers , EX= 30.93mm [spec=32.057-32.517] IN= 31.35mm [spec=32.041-32.201]. Could they possibly have worn that much? I had the cam replaced in late '90's, im wondering if it might be non 200x cam? These measurements are very much like the sizings for the 200 S & M cams.

Secodly, the clutch plate measurement, the thickness of the steel plates is 1.5mm [The manual says "disk thickness", no mention of steel or friction plate specific, spec=2.9 - 3.0] The steel clutch plates dont look to me like they have eroded, but by measurement, they have or is this normal?.
The friction plates all measure within tolerance, around 2.7 to 2.9 [spec=2.9 - 3.0 - min 2.6mm], might put new clutch kit on the future to do list.

You're probably right about that being an auto clutch cam. The original X cam was dc'ed quite a while ago, and the auto clutch cam became the superceded part. As far as the steel plates, I seem to remember not finding a spec for them in the manual, only for the friction plates. If memory serves me, the steels should be around .068"

The only spec for steels is warpage. The manual thickness spec refers to the frictions.

Yes that is an auto clutch model cam. If you'd like a more aggresive cam, order an xr200 cam. They're available from partzilla.

Yep, i think thats the go, i would like a performance cam, but the new springs etc is a bit much on price for what i use it for, thanks for the tip.

My X is a 24mm carb [125 main 40 Slow] ported head, wiseco 66mm 10.25:1 piston, DG copy power pipe, so the current cam might be a bit "light" for it? Will be looking into XR cam for sure.

Does the 200X cam bearing/bushing and thrust washers, fit the XR camshaft?

EDIT
DOESNT MATTER, i just checked the part #'s, they all match.

Yes, the XR cam is a drop-in, no mods needed.
