Hey guys,
So I'm finally throwing my 85R back together and I had purchased an ESR rear brake pedal. But then I noticed this ESR TRX version does not have the shaft welded on to it like my 85R one did. Upon checking the parts fiche, I realized this was how they were built OEM... :(
So, has anyone else found a way to overcome this issue? Finding a smooth shaft would be simple, but it has splines on the end which have to line up with the brake push arm that attaches to the master cylinder, so that makes things more tricky. I figured I cannot be the first one with this issue!

Thanks in advance guys!
