New 83'-85 200x big bore pipe kit.
This head pipe is made for the performace 200x that needs head pipes like we built at Powroll 30 years ago, but made of better material. We used stainless steel on the whole pipe including a stronger thicker flange that doesn't bend like all the aftermarket pipes do. This was made to replace the head pipe on the DG 200x exhaust, with a 1 3/8th head pipe, stepping up to the 1 1/2 the rest of the way back to the meg. I call it a kit pipe because it will need welded together to make sure it fits perfect for each customer, there is no way for us to mate it up to how you will cut the meg to conect the pipe to it. The cost is only $75 plus shipping so even if you don't already have a DG pipe you can buy a new one and still be way cheeper then buying a custom pipe.

This is the pipe you will see on the next ATV on Demand 200x video too.

Cool. How much more performance were you expecting with this header vs stock dg

Nice pipe. May i ask a question? I was gonna start a new thread, but this appeared, tell me to bugger off if im hijacking! LOL

Id like to know the theory on engine pipes and mufflers [refering to 200X '84] How do they affect motor performance, im guessing backpressure, but im no tuner!

might sound ignorant from a metal trade background type like myself, but the engine pipe is just a straight through pipe, and from what i see on mine, the muffler is straight through also and no baffles [mine is not a stock pipe [DG copy], and does have packing near outlet , but can see straight thru the center of it], so minimal redirection of flow?, apart from the 180 bend near outlet.

and noise reduction through sound reflection i assume, but i digress. Im not refuting that they do affect performance, just curious to know the physics behind it.

just a simple answer would do.

A good 2-3 rwhp depending on the cam and the build of the motor.

Each engine is going to respond differently mainly because of exhaust cam opening and closing, that's why the SuperTrapp mufflers are so great, you can tune the back pressure, but even at that most well built motors like the 1 5/8th to 2 inch open core on the muffler.

Thanks mate, Ive done some reading on the theory of it, the shockwave rebound etc, ....fascinating! My 200x engine pipe, is rusted out, wanna make a new one, cheers

Well I got the bill the other day and the flange and collar cost me a lot more so the price in now $95 plus shipping. I have 9 left, this will be the only run I'm making so if you want one you better grab them now!
