More powerful BIG RED

Hi friends

Ive been thinking I'd like to get a little more power from the 85 Big Red 250. Its good as is and will do anything if I down shift two 1st or 2nd, but the funs in 3rd and 4th. I know its not a racing machine but Its what im rolling down the trials on. I just need a bit more out of it. So im looking for suggestions of easy to do mods that are hopefully on the cheaper end too. I dont want to do anything that may over heat it or blow it up. I want to protect and preserve the machine just give it a boost.

any ideas?
