ok so this is about a yamaha bear tracker i have, i tried other yamaha forums first but nobody answered, so i figured you guys could help me out since, i picked up this beat tracker and it seems to run fine but when i get it in 2nd gear it makes a consistent clunking noise seems like every rotation of the tire it clunks and its only in 2nd gear, also i can feel more vibration through the foot pegs while in 2nd. I know this a a 3 wheeler forum but i really need help guys, and youre the best!
is it just a chipped gear tooth, is it still good to drive? or am i in trouble, thanks!

I have no experience with transmissions, but if it only does it in second gear, I'd say that your problem is in the transmission.

You have to have some skills to narrow it down. Based on the information you gave, I cannot advise you to do anything without getting it narrowed down.
Lots of shifting problems, I take the gear shift cover off, turn the tire and shift it to see what's going on.
It's usually a simple problem. I haven't even found a bent shift fork in near 30 years of motor work......
Only a few have had bad dogs on the slide select gear in the cases; From someone beating the chit out of it!! And I beat the snot out of my ATC's but I know what I can and cannot do.
