atc 250r forks

Looking for a straight nice pair of 85/86 front forks for 250r, they are going to be rebuilt just need to be not bent and rebuildable..

How hard would it be to adapt these to a 84? Just new triples? Or are the steering stems different?

I know the steering stems are different, but I'm sure there is a way. The forks above are sold though.
