Has anyone blew the main seals on an 86 200x or another Honda and knew when they did it? I may have stayed on full throttle to long.

Four strokes don't have "main seals" in the sense that a two stroke does. Some have one on the ignition side to keep oil out of the stator, but many just use a wet stator, so the only seals are all external, such as on the shifter and kickstart shafts, and the case cover gaskets. Over-revving shouldn't harm any of those, it just beats up on your crank bearings, rod, cam chain, and valvetrain.

My mind don't do four-stroke, lol. Ive built some chevy v-8's and some briggs but i wasn't into it. So i have an 86 manual, havent looked yet.
I will read to see if it has a wet stator. It quit giving spark after i topped it out in 6th. I was afraid that it was too much pressure on a 30 year old seal and it soaked the stator. I got to go deeper in the electrical testing because its not the plug, plug wire, ground, coil or handlebar switch. I have to test the stator stuff in the motor next. Makes me want to be gentler with it. Thanks, maybe its not big trouble. I dont want to do four stroke big trouble.

Doing a basic rebuild where you replace all seals and gaskets and clean everything does wonders for these old motors. Also while in there do a piston upgrade, can and valve job.

2nd gen 200x has a wet stator, like most 4-strokes do.
