Could be bad battery. They don't like to be drained and charged constantly. Need to maintain a full charge.

i suppose! but wouldnt it still atleast try to recharge? the light that say charging on the charger isnt even coming on! and the battery would take a charge after 30 min of riding 2 weeks ago and it would hold enough of a charge to use the starter. if i do need a battery what would be the best bang for my buck for a good battery

How old is the battery? You could try changing the fluid in your battery. If that doesnt help I'd buy a new battery for it. It will be worth it in the long run.

If you need to get a new one, get a sealed battery. I've had better luck with them compared to the conventional batteries that are vented. Also, unless you ride in the winter, remove it from the machine in the winter and keep it inside and on a battery buddy (or any other battery tender). It will last you a long time this way. Even if you can't remove it, keeping it topped off on a battery buddy while you don't ride it will keep the battery in great shape.

2 amp charger might be a bit much. Most motorcycle battery chargers are under 1 amp. A 2 amp would be more for a lawn tractor or a side x side. The small motorcycle batteries won't take much abuse at all.

you need a new battery. Plain and simple!
