Hey guys,

Running into a little trouble here. I was rebuilding the engine and upon taking it apart I noticed the main bearings had a little play on the crank so I decided I mine as well update to the long rod if I have to buy a new crank anyway. I have an OEM cylinder with an LA sleeve and the spacer plate from them as well.

On the 85-86 ATC250R parts fiche it lists both 10x70mm AND 10x45mm. Upon pulling mine out I measured and they are a 10x70, all four. So I am thinking I need a 10x80mm at least?

Also, what did you use for a dowel that goes between the case, spacer and cylinder?

Thanks in advance guys!

I went to them as one of my first options, but what worries me is that they do not say the length of the Cylinder Long Stud. I don't know how ESR cylinders compare to stock? Maybe they have a taller stud channel on their jugs than OEM, in which case there wouldn't be enough thread on the stud. I'm just thinking out loud, but have you purchased these before?

I have not. I don't know what length they are. You could use threaded rod or bolts. The dowels will line the cylinder up.

you need the longer dowel to line the cylinder up correctly. Just buy the esr kit, I use that for my lrd/led pro-x cylinders and stock ones in the past.
