I was wondering if there is any way to get the platic tank on my 350X any whiter because the bottom half is starting to yellow.

Honda125m1984,
I think the only way too make it whiter is to have it painted. It wouldn't take long. If I was to use a paint and do it myself. I would use 2 stage Dupli-colour. 1st stage paint and second stage clear. This has to be the best stuff I have ever used. I purchased mine through Canadian tire in the automotive dept (Rattle Can). Fast drying and no runs whats so ever. Leave it sit for a few days in your house at room temp. and it will dry right hard. I personally think it looks as good as what a professional could do, at least close and very inexpensive. $6.99 a can.
Ps. Before doing the clear coat. After your base hase dried. Use 1000 grit sand paper and (wet sand it). This will take all the dust particals out.
Thats all I can think of.

paint wont last on a plastic gas tank, the air in the tank goes through the thermo plastic and it will chip, thats why when you put stickers on plastic tanks they bubble.

350xccelerator you are correct about decals not sticking to plastic tanks, that is why I put my decals on my tank shrouds instead.
