185s taillight bulb dilemma

I am in need of picking up several taillight bulbs for the fleet.
I have searched and read here that the opinion is to stick with the 12v5w bulb
(non battery model).
I have found them available BUT...
dennis kirk is selling a 12v8w bulb for this application.

Can anyone comment on their experience here or any thoughts....?
Is this splitting hairs... I would expect the 8W bulb to last longer but possibly be dimmer...
would it cause issues blowing the front bulb?

I just threw in a bulb out of a car marker light. It worked fine and was just as bright as stock.

I like to use www.dratv.com He has the correct taillight bulbs for all machines at cheap prices.

I know napa had a 12 volt 6w taillight that fit perfectly in in my 200x and it was only a dollar.
