I am the original owner of this 1985 Honda ATC250R, purchased new in Dec 1987, just before the ban. Low hours, Bike was never ridden hard, It was really too much bike for me as a kid, came from a 4 stroke XR100R. So I spent VERY LITTLE time at WOT. Never wore out the tires. All stock no mods, original internals. Lived most of its life on Bel Ray MC1. Some plastics have some repairs on the back side, headlight, right shroud. Recently retrieved from storage after 23 years to ride with my son. Checked cylinder, clutch( still looked new ), water pump ( coolant was still green! no corrosion, flushed and replaced), rebuilt brake master cylinders calipers with honda parts( NOS Honda rear master cylinder parts hard to find ) and cleaned and rebuilt carburetor. Starts first or second kick. Sounds like new. Have AZ title.

Surprised .... 30 views and no replies.
Location will be everything when it comes to price. Here in the midwest, that is a 2500-3000 bike, out west probably lower, north and east, maybe higher?
That is a nice clean machine that is more indicative of the region it lives in. The fender and small things is what will kill it's value collector wise.

I will go with ~2K. OEM, barely scratched/not cracked fenders are what drives value on those machines. The wheels also drive value, which you have.

Nice 250r! Not collector nice though, so anywhere from 1500 up. Worth double parted out.

like netra3 said, pass it down. they are more and more rare these days and one in that good of shape should stay in a family IMO. here in the northeast, that could bring 3500 to 4k all day with the right buyer. i had to buy a basket case and dump 4500$ to restore it. a lot harder to find nice bikes up here. she is pretty and i would say that you are crazy to get rid of it. what a time capsule. thats my opinion though. good luck with your endeavour

I'm no expert but in Houston Texas I think it would go for close to $4000

It is priced correctly. If I did not have four if them I would be interested. I just sent the link to a buddy back east who may be interested.
