project tecate build is underway

heres my progress so far. if anyone can see the blue shock its a champion MX, very hard to get in there :rolleyes: and thats a +2mm hot rod crank/rod. is it just me, or is lining up that swinarm pin, through the frame/engine/and shock mounts a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro or what?

Yes it is. I just did mine today on my new 250r. It was adefiently a two person job. One way to make it easier is to take some thick grease and put it in those end cap washers so the stick to the swing arm. That way they aren't fallin all over. Looks like a nice trike though, even if it is green. Post some finsihed pics when you get them. :)

thanks alot guys for the replys, the lense i personally made from a arctic cat headlamp lense, the green one. i made one for my banshee too off a blue yamaha light. it works real nice, and is bright as hell. i was thinking of making a headlight cover for it too.

yeha that tail light is bad ass. lol i want to put yellow strobes in my tri z head lights i think it would look so bad ass riding around in a pit at night with yellow strobes in the head lights :twisted: and neons under the frame lol im going to have a rice rocket tri z :twisted:

This kid traded that Tecate for a peice of crap banshee and is takin credit for all the work my buddy did on it. If you guys want a green lens, let me know, I still have a bunch of the plexi glass left. What a punk!!!! Made it outta an artic cat light. SURE!!!!

sorry i guess if you guys thought that i was.....ok i don't know what you guys thought. but the lense that was on the bike was some peice of plastic that was spray painted green, along with the bulb(which is why it didnt work when i got it) so a friend of mine owns an Arctic cat dealer (ddracing.com) and he hooked me up with a lense cover that was cracked so he couldn't sell it.

most of that engine is misc. parts from '85-'86 Kx 250 dirtbikes, when i got the machine, the bottom ring was nearly gone, the head had two real deep pits in it and the piston was scored up. you could see where someone tried to smooth the scares up to fix it as cheaply as possible, where as i spent the money to get my banshee fixed right, and i told you that i would have answered any questions you had sand_junkies, just i was the only one that asked any.
