Ok guys any idea if a 1985 KX250 crank will fit in my 86 T3? Any idea what I should do? The rod doesnt move up and down, only side to side: around a 1/16 total. Will it hurt it if I run it this way or is it a must to get it fixed? Thanks.

Side to side is fine.... Up and down is what you worry about....If you want to rebuild your crank, I've got a brand new pro-x rod kit I'll sell for 50..... :D :D

Well thanks Sean. I may have to think about that. Let me get it running, I may buy that if you still have it eventually just for a spare.

kawasaki used the same cranks for ever, like 83-96 or something, go on a website that lists weisco cranks, that will give you the years, and yes the 85 kx or kxt will work fine

Nick may be right, but i looked up different rods for my '86, and found out, on the '86-'87 t3 works, and '85 KX250(thats all i could find anways) but i do know sean was right, side to side is perfectly normal.
