Picked up a speedo head with bracket but not sure what the plug in is for? Any ideas?

I think that could be a accessory plug, I saw a plug / harness on ebay a while back that had a plug like that, it was listed under hondaline atc.... tho it isn't up on ebay now. I could not tell you what it is used in conjunction with??? may be the work light hondaline offered back in the day?

That's what I was thinking it was for but I wasn't sure. Maybe someone with one could tell. I've never owned one myself.

That's the accessory plug that comes on the 250 Big Reds. You can wire a spotlight or whatever accessory into the male end and use it as a plug. It looks like maybe that speedo was mounted on a Big Red and when they pulled it off, they took off more than just the speedo bracket. They also took off everything near it was attached to as one big piece, which still had the accessory plug attached.

It's all the big reds, not just the 250es. 200e and 200es included.

Thanks for the info. Besides the wench and spot light has anyone else seen or heard of another rare plug in or accessorie that Honda made for a Atc?

You can wire whatever you want into it. If you pull the plug off, look in the piece that is in your hand. You'll notice it's the male end and not just a cap or plug cover. You can wire anything 12v into that plug and make your own accessory. I recently learned that. I always thought it was just a cap.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

Ya I was wondering why a cap would have a male end on the end of it. Makes sense. As far as the mounting bracket goes was that a aftermarket bracket? I'm used to seeing the other version of it.

The speedometer plugs into the port on the bike , then the female side on the speedometer lets you run another acc . Is the speedometer lighted ?
