I am all for race cars, tuners, Harleys, and against govt interference in most cases. However....

Those loud obnoxious diesel trucks with a 10 foot smoke stack, spewing a cloud of black smoke so thick it dusts the drivers around it, used for everyday driving are trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro the most moronic thing I have ever seen. It is equivilent to driving a 454 Chevelle with uncapped headers at 3 am in a residential area.

Some restrictions need to be put on those. That black smoke is not good for the environment, and no matter how much someone tries to preach to me otherwise I won't change my outlook.

Well I'm one of those morons choking you out with my black smoke lol, but government control over that is going to far. I won't be surprised if obama does some crazy dumb things before he's outta office and it sure looks like he will.

Isnt the smoke unburned fuel? How could my peterbilt drag 130ooolbs 3000 miles and not smoke, yet super pickup truck drivers need the smoke to make power?

The black smoke the kids do around here is a fuel additive they buy to make it smoke like that. Used to be from running off-road diesel fuel in an on-road vehicle made them smoke like that. I think from sulfur in the fuel but not sure (already illegal as Clint pointed out). I think its glycol they add iirc.

Its especially bad here in town when TS Performance holds the Diesel Drags out at Beech Bend Raceway....then all the guys with $85,000 twin turbo diesel pickups come to town looking for attention at stop lights.

Ok this isn't about the kids that roll coal everywhere, its about the end of an industry Nascar, Drag racing, sand duning, diesel performance. The "redneck" life style as we know it will never be the same. As for your noise problem with straight piped diesels, man up! I live 100ft from a railroad track that trains fly by at 80MPH blowing their horn and waking the whole town up.

Not the same, not even close.

Is someone forcing you live by the tracks like you're forcing people to deal with your smoke and noise?

I get it, I really do, and how these guys are in love with it. However, if you have ever been on a Harley, and get one of those clouds blown in your face, it is not only annoying..It is a safety issue, that causes the pedestrian or other drivers to have their view obstructed usually at an approaching intersection. I am sure if I did burnouts at 4am in front of your house with a big twin with some LAF pipes, you would get irate and that is not even even a safety issue. Conversely, I love Harley's, but some of those guys take the LAF pipes to far. There are ways to enjoy thing without purposely burdening someone else or compromising their safety..And it is the people that push the envelope on what is allowed that draw attention of the lobbyist groups like you see here with this issue.

And you can rank those LAF cessnas right up there as well on the annoyance factor..As far as Nascar being banned? Never will happen. To large of revenue from an economic force, and they have already dumped leaded race fuel and gone fuel injected

Well I guess I have a love for anything with a motor loud or not, diesel or gas, 1 cylinder or 24 cylinders lol. Im pretty sure that this won't pass because there has been 70k signatures in the first 20hrs of the petition being open. As fir the black smoke thing you either love it or hate it.

I love the rolling coal thing. But doing it to be an trailprotrailprotrailpro to people is not cool.
You want that to goof off with and get your friends with, cool. Me and my girlfriend go for a peaceful walk after dark in a nice neighborhood, 16 year old in daddy's truck comes flying by rolling coal and lays on the train horn. I'm not amused. I didn't find it funny. I was not scared. I saw red for about 20 minutes.

If you're reading this in biloxi MS, and you had an early 2000's white Z71 Tahoe with chrome rims, LED headlights and chrome trim, i still remember you and your costa hat wearing buddy. P.S.: Rap Sucks.

^dont be that guy. Its how unnecessary laws and regulations get passed. Love smoke and boiling tires and exhaust flames and loud stuff but i hate trailprotrailprotrailproholes.
